We had a wonderful couple of weeks exploring Ethiopia last November. We discovered a beautiful country with a very interesting history. Ethiopia posesses great diversity both in terms of ethnicity and landscape. From the 3.2m old fossil of “Lucy” to the mountains, the obelisks of the Axum empire, the rock-cut churches of Lalibela, the deep religious culture, the markets, the tribal communities and the overall landscape, our trip was very interesting and always surprising.
A key point for us enjoying so much our trip was our guide Assefa, who was able to share his passion and knowledge for Ethiopia and its history. Assefa possesses a deep respect for the Ethiopian culture which is felt at all times. It is also very noticeable the respect that the local communities have towards him. Finally, Assefa has a great sense of humour.
We can only but recommend a trip guided by Assefa to this wonderful country.
